Chicken Changezi is a Mughlai dish.
Heat 2 tablespoon oil in a pan, add onions & cashew nuts, fry until the onions turn golden brown. Let it cool down for some time and then grind into a fine paste. Keep aside.
In the same vessel, fry the marinated chicken till it turns dry & semi-cooked. Transfer it in a bowl and keep aside.
Heat oil in a pan, add the ginger garlic paste, tomato paste & all the dry masalas except the garam masala, stir fry on medium heat till oil starts separating.
Reduce the flame, add in the chicken, give it a mix.
Add the onion & cashew paste, salt & the garam masala powder. Mix well & let the chicken cook on low flame till it’s done.
Once the chicken is cooked add the cream, butter & give a stir.
Serve with Jeera rice or Parathas.
