Onion Tomato Chutney is a yummy chutney requires onion, tomato, dry red chilies and some spices. This chutney goes well with dosa, idly, uttapam as well as paratha and roti. This is a South Indian style recipe to make this yummy chutney. If you are facing short of time then this is a perfect dish for you. Take a pan, add oil and heat it.
Add mustard seeds, cumin seeds. Let it splutter.
Add asafoetida, turmeric powder, dry red chillies and curry leaves. Saute it.
Then add chopped onion and saute it until it is translucent. Add salt and cook.
Now, add chopped tomatoes to it. Mix well and cook.
Cover and cook it until tomato get soften. Add sugar to it and cook on a medium flame.
Once done, switch off the gas. Let it cool.
Take a grinder jar, add cooked tomato mixture. Grind it using Prestige Express Mixer Grinder.
Make a smooth paste. Then transfer to a bowl or put the lid store it directly in the jar.
