Rava Onion Dosa – Instant Recipe is tasty, crispy version of dosa. This made with the combination of semolina, rice flour, buttermilk or curd. It has a crunch of onion and coconut. It goes well with coconut chutney and sambhar. This is an instant version of dosa best suitable for busy mornings. So, try this dosa at home and let us know how you liked it.
Take a bowl and add semolina, rice flour, butter milk. Mix all together. Keep aside for half an hour for rest.
After half an hour, add water to the batter. This should be watery consistency.
PREPARING TADKA:- Take a tadka pan, add a teaspoon oil and heat it. Add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, asafoetida, chopped curry leaves. Add this tadka to the batter. Mix well.
Add salt, finely chopped fresh coconut and onion to the batter. Mix well.
Now, heat a tawa.
The dosa batter should be watery, if not then add more water to it. Mix well.
Once the tawa is heated, lower the flame. Pour the batter from edges to the centre. Pour the batter on the tawa so that it spread on its own.
Cook the dosa on a low flame. Pour some oil and ghee/clarified butter on the top.
Once the dosa turn nice golden brown and crisp, flip it and cook from other side too.
When done, take out on a plate.
Yummy 'Rava Onion Dosa' is ready to be served with coconut chutney.
